Sac Zoo Academy units include fun and educational videos filmed at the Sacramento Zoo, with Sacramento Zoo animals. The videos and worksheets facilitate your student’s learning, encourage exploration of scientific concepts, and offer space to explain and elaborate on those ideas. All virtual curriculum kits include:
Each science unit study is intended for one family group or one class. Materials are non-transferable and video links will only work for one registered user.

The Giraffe and Zebra Tour is ADA-accessible. However, the tour will include some uneven terrain and a large hill. Please contact us with any specific questions and we will be happy to help as we can.

Please review the following step-by-step process before submitting your reservation:
Step 1: Type the number “1” in the field below, as you are submitting only one reservation.
Note: A reservation can have up to 250 people. If you will exceed this number of people, please contact the Reservation Specialist to discuss accommodation options. All reservations must be submitted no later than two weeks in advance from the date requested.
Step 2: Follow the prompt and provide all information asked for. If you will not be the point of contact the day of the reservation, provide the contact information of who will be, to ensure that check-in instructions can be sent accordingly. When completed, click Add to Cart.
Step 3: Click the cart icon on the top right-hand corner to complete your reservation. For billing information, provide the point of contact's information with the school’s/organization’s address.
Note: The $0 transaction is regarding the reservation itself; payment will be due on the day of your visit.
After your submission, you will receive an email confirming your reservation, and an acknowledgment email with information regarding your check-in process.
IN THE FIELD BELOW, TYPE '1' FOR ONE RESERVATION.
This tour will take you inside the keeper-only area of the Reptile House where you'll learn about caring for amphibians and retiles, handling venomous animals, and using a snake-moving tool. Finish with a meet and greet with a keeper and reptile encounter.

The zoo will close early at 3 pm through Jan. 30.
The Sacramento Zoo uses Plan-Ahead Pricing, giving you the opportunity to plan a zoo visit that matches your budget and schedule. Ticket prices may increase daily. The price will never be lower for a particular day than is currently listed. Buy early to save!

Join us for an engaging, interactive encounter with one of our charming opossums! During this tour, you’ll hear fascinating facts about opossums, learn how we care for them, and discover why enrichment is essential for their well-being. You’ll create an enrichment item and then watch as the opossum investigates and enjoys your creation. And to top it off, you’ll get a chance to feed them.

This tour takes you into a special meet and greet area in the Kangaroo exhibit. This exclusive view allows you to get a closer look at the animals and makes you feel like you are part of the Kangaroo mob! There will be opportunities to give a snack to any animal interested in some morning tucker (food).
